Bradley Wiggins became the first British bike rider who won the Tour de France

Bradley Wiggins became the first British motorcycle rider who won the Tour de France when he won the biggest cycling-99 edition.

Wiggins reach the finish in a secure position with a large group of riderson the stage to-20 who also tookthe last stage of 120km from Rambouillet.

Last stage was won by his teammate and compatriot MarkCavendish.

In the overall standings, Wiggins beat teammateand fellow countryman Sky Chris Froomewith three minutesand 21 seconds ahead of Italian rider Vincenzo Nibali by 6:19.

Australian rider CadelEvans, who started the race three weeks as the defending champion, finished seventh in the standingsand defeated by hisBMC team mate Tejayvan Garderen. U.S.riders won fifth place and a white shirt as the bestU-25 rider.

French rider ThomasVoeckler won the polka dot shirt as the best riderclimbs, and Slovakianrider Peter Sagantook as a green T-shirt collection ever sprint points.

RadioShack-Nissan team won the teamclassification and rider Chris AnkerSorensen Denmark was chosen as the most aggressiverider, according to Reuters.
