Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was sentenced to life imprisonment on Saturday, June 2, 2012 for ordering the killings of protesters during the uprising that swept Egypt last year.

The atmosphere siding Hosni Mubarak in the trial was uproar because their families do not receive the demonstrator's verdict. They stood on a chair and held up his fist in the air and shouted sentence verdict was not enough. Mubarak and the judge then removed from the courtroom chaos.

The verdict handed down by Judge Ahmed Refaat is a final round of Mubarak's rule in three decades, the power to remove the iron hand of Egypt, which ended in February 2011.

According to Amnesty International, about 840 people died and more than 6,000 others wounded in the uprising.

Former Interior Minister Habib El Adly also convicted for ordering the security forces killed protesters and sentenced to life imprisonment. El Adly previously sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of corruption and money laundering. But the judge to clean child-Gamal and Alaa Mubarak, Mubarak and several helpers.

Mubarak and his sons arrived Saturday morning in Cairo Police Academy, where the trial was held under tight security. Lined up behind police barricades to separate the demonstrators.

Hundreds of people outside the court chanted "Execution is the only solution" and "He who kills shall die.". Families of those killed during the protest poster displaying family photos of the dead, while dozens of Mubarak supporters chanted "Mubarak is innocent."

Egypt's military government revoked the emergency status (state of emergency) in the country that has been applied Hosni Mubarak's regime for 31 years. Hopefully, this can end the revocation status of military arrogance in preventing acts of subversion and terrorism is considered.

This decision was taken the Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (Scaf) on Thursday, May 31, 2012. Scaf who took power after the fall of Hosni Mubarak last year also suggested updating the state of emergency in the middle of the transition of leadership in Egypt.

"The military will still perform its national responsibility to protect this country until the process of power transfer is complete," the statement Scaf.

Egypt's state of emergency in force since 1981 after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. This status gives the military authority is not limited to maintaining security of Egypt. Combing them with free homes and arresting suspects without trial.

Egyptian human rights group estimates that since its creation more than 10,000 people have been arrested mostly disappeared without a word in the prison. Last January, this status was revised by the head of the Scaf, Hussein Tantawi; the only catch the vandals and thugs. Approximately 188 people were arrested this year.

Elimination of state of emergency in Egypt has long been championed by human rights activists, but it is always countered by Mubarak. "The important thing is the message. Previous security troops operate in a culture that puts them above the law. Now, the legislation requires them to obey the law and will not get too much power," said Hossam Bahgat, Egyptian human rights activist.
